on Saturday October 28th, 2006, Jacob and late family friend, Mike Detjen, were seriously injured at Roloff Farms, when the trebuchet (which had been used to launch pumkins for entertainement purposes) triggered prematurely. Jacob and Mike recovered from the injuries and were released on Monday, October 30, 2006. It was the last launch of pumpkin seasons that year.
